I have over 30 years’ experience as a commercial designer and illustrator, including 20 as a freelance design consultant.

My work encompasses graphics and branded identity, products and packaging, websites, digital experiences, animation, music, film and 3D with a strong emphasis on game design.

One of my first jobs was writing questions for international editions of Trivial Pursuit, and in 2015 I was Design Guru on Season 10 of The Apprentice (BBC/Freemantle).

I am fortunate to have been awarded Designer of the Year (2000, EyeWire, Los Angeles - now part of Getty Images), and been design-lead on games that have won the Jeux d'Année in Paris and the New York and London Toy Fair 'Best game' on four occasions.
In 2013 I was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

I live in Suffolk, England and graduated from University of Suffolk in 2016 with an MA in Arts Practice where my primary research centred around the evolution and cultural impact of digital technology. This ongoing research feeds directly into, and informs my professional practice as a designer.

Aside from my commercial and fine arts practice, I also score music for film and documentary with a small team of composers and arrangers and I am a member of The Ivors Academy (formerly the British Association of Composers and Songwriters).

I'm married with four grown up children and we share our house with 10 Huskies, a piano and too many guitars.
